The Making of Bryan’s Kick
\moleary:
The teaser trailer to my senior thesis film Bryan’s Kick.
Guess I should finally put this thing up, huh? The teaser trailer to “Bryan’s Kick.”
“Coffee Spit” tells the story of Bruce, an older teenager spending the summer working at a small dry cleaners. A lighthearted coming of age story, the plot focuses on the relationship between Bruce and his close girl-friend Stephanie, as well as the awkward dynamic between Bruce and his boss Mr. Bova. Shot with the Sony NX-5 and edited with Final Cut Pro
“A Venetian Affair” is a contemporary film-noir crime caper about the murder of a young woman and all of the parallel narratives that come crashing into each-other as a result. Three crack detectives investigating the case, a beautiful woman with strong ties to the murder victim, a seductive vixen who’s not what she seems, and a mysterious masked assassin will all find their lives turned upside down as each of their paths begin to cross. Featuring an all-star ensemble cast from The University of the Arts, nothing is as simple as black and white in this crime action thriller from writer/director Marcus O’Leary. Shot with the Sony NX-5 and edited with Final Cut Pro/After Effects.

Runner’s Mind is a short and silent film that delves into the mind of a young runner as he reflects on a past relationship during his long distance run along the river. It was shot in Fall of 2011 with the Sony HD-NX5U camera and edited with Final Cut Pro. Special thanks to all those who helped make this film possible.
Part 2 of my radio detective story An Adulterous Engagement, a sound design and sound mixing project that I completed in Winter of 2010. My own personal homage to 40’s/50’s film noir and hard boiled detective stories. All voice-work was recorded in an ADR/Foley studio, while most sound effects were downloaded online. Music borrowed from the “Sin City” and “Public Enemies” soundtracks
